The term "FBO" was coined by the aviation industry. In the early days mechanics flew from field to field fixing and patching airplanes to keep them flying. In time, a mechanic would establish a good reputation and aircraft owners would fly to his field to have work done. He became known as a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) . Since we are aviation enthusiast, we elected to use the term to help describe our internet service.
